Why the hell not?
So I decided recently to start blogging. Why the hell not? Something different, a resource outside of my dusty journal to express thoughts, feelings, ideas, frustrations, and random interest points to others. Of course, that means I somehow have to get this blog to be seen by others, right?
I'm a mom to two great and impish small kids, wife to a loving husband, full time loyal employee to my employer, and a good friend to a small yet intimate group of wonderful people. I have little time to do much, little patience thanks to my Irish background, a large warm and generous heart for my family and friends...I'm passionate, compassionate, empathetic, snarky, loving, strong, sometimes stubborn, and quick to play mediator to keep the waters smooth and ripple free. I'm a Gemini through and through. Oh, and I have MS. My education stops at Master's level in counseling psych because I just could not commute any longer after work and after spending my entire early adulthood trying to leave where I grew up, we ended up buying a house only a few streets down from my parents. Go figure.
My life is nonstop yet like the movie Groundhog day since my oldest started kindergarten. Mornings are filled with constant motion, prompts to eat/brush teeth/get dressed, trying to wrestle my Frenchton away from my inbred cat, all while making sure I've packed lunches and haven't forgotten where I put my car keys and cell phone. Lol. Then i get to go to work where I "relax" so to speak, where I'm surrounded by adults who carry on adult conversations and have their own types of drama that is played out in the office. Then I get to go pick up the minions, cook two different dinners because of my picky eater, clean up, get baths/showers down, and then relax while my husband works on homework. Then it's reading time for the little ones and off to bed. Then I go to bed. Get up and repeat the whole process. Life is crazy but life is good.
